Located a mile down a winding Historic wagon trail, Canaan Land Farm Bed & Breakfast is a place for relaxation and change of pace. The farm is secluded and wildlife abounds, offering guests quiet nature walks, deer sightings, bird watching and hikes to the Kentucky River. Guests enjoy an everchanging friendly assortment of animals, including chickens, bunnies, pigs, horses, goats, sheep and of course, Polly, the golden retriever. All of the animals want a pat on the head, a handful of corn or a few carrots.

Guests may stay in The Benjamin Daniel House, c. 1795, with 4 guest rooms. Two rooms with private baths and 2 with a shared bath or in The Philemon Waters Log House, c. 1815, with 3 additional rooms and private baths. Guests enjoy roaring fires, antique feather beds and an opportunity to step back in time when life was slow and quiet. The Benjamin Daniel House, one of the earliest brick houses in Kentucky, is on the National Register and in 1992, Canaan Land Farm was designated a Kentucky Historic Farm.

Guests can bring a picnic lunch or supper and we will provide the setting.

Canaan Land Farm B&B, now in its 17th year, is open year round (Limited availability Nov. 1st through Feb. 28th)

"Mac", a full time Innkeeper/cabinet-furniture maker, invites you to join him, along with his son & partner Philip, in their wood shop. Their special interests vary from period furniture to restoration. They have collected many old tools for this use. They have also taught classes and plan to do more in the future.

Elizabeth spends time with her passion of needlework (also, assistant Innkeeper). A professional finisher, she welcomes anyone interested in learning to stitch. A cup of tea, canvas & needle are always available.

Philip, our resident bachelor, is an eagle scout ready to share his skills and love of nature. His interests include trail blazing, stone masonry, and most important, has plans to develop a fruit orchard.
